In this thread I would think the winning quilt would be deer, elk, or moose. Quality targets that could appear in the Food Porn thread!

Why is shuttling down discussion on a topic you don't like the preferred course of action as opposed to not reading a particular thread? Seems like an awful lot of that happening in the world these days.
It's called "cancel culture", seems that some people would rather make sure nobody has a differing view or opinion than they do and to ensure that they just remove the offending view.

Glenfield (Marlin) Model 60, my mom picked it up at a garage sale for $20....had the wood stock with the squirrel. I kept finding bits and pieces in clearance bins, think I got this stock for $10, the sling was $2, scope is just a cheap one and a buddy gave me the bipod. It's a fun shooter, thousands of rounds of 22LR have been fed through it, hitting the little resetting metal targets out in the desert.

The Juki long arm quilter is just to add to the fun of this thread!

I am mystified (sort of) that people who are against photos of firearms can't just stay off the the thread and the post mentioning Cancel Culture nailed the reason. These people don't like it so you can't have it either. Incredible.
I'm not sure your summation is correct. I think it is the nature of humans to comment online if they have a view on just about anything. Your own comments are evidence of that. You are commenting on other people's comments and not about guns on a gun only thread. I'm doing the same. Facebook is one big comment session. We should all just "scroll on" but the temptation of getting a response is irresistible.

I hate shooting beside a muzzle brake. o_O The larger the caliber, the more I hate them. :)
I don't disagree with you, CA was nuts when I left as it was muzzle brakes or thread protector on rifles! Would rattle your eyeballs silly.

This 308 is super smooth with it, can almost see your own hits at longer range.

I've never shot a .308 gas. I know the brake didn't do much for a .338 Lupua; still kicked worse than a mule. Always thought I wanted one, glad I didn't waste my money. (same could be said about a GS)

I own calibers that will put some hair on your chest. 375 H&H, 458 Lott, 416 Rigby. I had dreams of Africa, but found they are just as fun on Jack Rabbits.
