I need two sets of the original stock pegs. If you have a set in your old tool box let me know.

I have a few friends with mini bikes. They have found that the Tenere pegs fit. They want to stick them on there bikes. I told them I would ask around :)

Thank you

Don't have any but if these are for somebody who stands on the pegs a lot I suggest going for aftermarket. The OEMs are cast and the castings are porous.

I find the OEM pegs, while cleverly designed so the rubber collapses when you stand and the teeth grip your boot sole to work pretty well, but for me they are too narrow and cause pain in my feet if I have to stand on them for too long. I'm trying out a set of Tush KLR650 pegs, but I won't be sure about them for a while, so my OEM pegs might become available later, but I want to more fully evaluate the Tusk pegs first.

That sets my mind more at ease. I like the fact that the OEM pegs act as a fuse and will break instead of damaging the frame in a tip over. If you wear a good boot like Gaerne SG10 or something with a steel shank then standing on the OEM pegs is less painful. I see a future where I won't be doing a lot of standing on the Super Tenere anyway.

If it were all about the bike I'd agree but typically when we are standing on the pegs we are pretty busy and balance means a lot. Having a peg break can mean losing control of the bike and getting hurt real fast.

Peg breaking vs wearing good boots is like the debate about whether to have a fence at the top of a cliff or ambulance at the bottom.

On the up-side, I and others have done extensive drop testing to assure you that having a peg break away like a fuse is not required because the bike is built like a brick out house.
[Kidding, as I know Chris already is aware how strong the bike is.]
