This section is for vendors to post their information, their products, product specials, etc.

I would appreciate the cooperation of vendors in keeping the main boards (especially modifications) free of non-user facilitated product showcasing. If a user is requesting information on a specific product or for ideas on how to fill a specific need, then it's fine to chime in with related product info, but I'd like any general product information kept in here.

Thanks for your cooperation. If anybody has any questions please let me know.

Venture

UPDATED RULES 8/8/2012 - PLEASE READ

I'm putting a few more rules in place for the Vendors section. Here they are:

1. Only VENDORS THEMSELVES should start topics. Non-vendors should not be a proxy for a vendor. Membership here is free, and vendor badges are free. There is no reason for a proxy, the vendors themselves should register and post their own topics about their products or special offers.

2. If users want to post up a deal they found, they are free to do so in the "For Sale" section, but the user posting about the deal must NOT BE AFFILIATED with the deal. As long as you are non-affiliated with the seller you can post about it. A good example of an appropriate posting would be a Craigslist advertisement for a motorcycle that you came across, but where you do not know the seller.

3. Vendors MUST HAVE a vendor badge prior to posting in vendors. Check this topic for information on vendor badges: http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=4439.0

4. Once a vendor starts a topic no other vendors or users may post alternatives in that topic. If, as a vendor you have the same product or a similar product to offer, create your own topic.

Any topics or posts not abiding by these rules will be removed.

As always, thanks for your cooperation.

Thank you "Venture"...

This way I can confidently give a message about the product as a true representative of Twisted Throttle. Hopefully this will allow me to correct any misinformation and answer definatively any questions about our goods.

Thanks for the welcome!

We do have an owner coming up next week, (thanks to someone posting our my email in here), so we can get our first look at her. What I really need is rider input. What they like or don't like about the seat, what changes they would like to see, what type of seat they are looking for, (I hear most don't like the sticky abrasive seat cover) and things like that. Please write me at mary@sargentcycle.com and let me have it! Tell me anything and everything we need to look at in during our evaluation.

Thanks again for all your support and feel free to write me!

Hmmm, on item 2, would this preclude posting for example an item for sale by a friend?

I know I'm sometimes a pain in the ass, but I think in this case, I actually did some good.

I'm now aware of all of the vendor posting rules and will observe and abide by them in the future

Good question, Rod.

I apologize if I kicked a hornets nest. Won't happen again.
I don't recall you doing anything wrong...

Really, nobody did anything wrong or against the old set of rules. So please nobody take offense.

The gist of the new rules is basically this: if you want to sell here, either as a vendor or a user, make sure it's you who is doing the selling. I think that when people proxy for sellers of any kind of leads to problems because that person is not directly present. It's easy to attack the unknown, much harder to disrespect an individual who is present.

I'm all for helping folks, especially small business types succeed, so please, carry on as you were.

Probably nothing. AvGeek and I are moderating active posts while Venture is tied up with other things. Feel free to email Geek or I and we can see if there is something more we can do for you.
