I'm thinking about dumping my DS upper bars (paired with stock ones) and building a different skid plate to replace my motech one. I will be riding across Labrador at some point, and doing an Alaska run, but I'm pretty much always on the street anyway. I also have the biggest Bumots. I probably should have waited and just gotten the soft bags, but I liked the space. They are also like riding along with an open parachute.

Since I'm so gravity challenged, I don't notice the weight of the bike I guess. But, I only have Mastech bars, and the Altrider plate.

Agreed but man I could have had so many more adventures. I'm at at least in 4k in mods but so goes the saying if I knew now what I knew then.

Try changing the load as I have gotten from hardbags->soft+mounts->34L waterproof bag. As I have ridden thinking this is the only way it can done. I donot regret changing and took some time to adapt.

Wow your inseam is short I'm at 29, ok but 300lb your big(me being nice) as I am big as well. So i will say this try this changing your mods although it might hurt. See how see feels w/o taller car shield and bars that will never see the dirt. Then maybe just maybe you will make more of that bbq.

I'm not complaining about the bikes weight. She feels light to me. Probably the easiest bike to transition left/right, and do bar lock turns, that I've ridden.
