Re: 2016 early season S10 UK Nat Meet DATE NOW SET

After reviewing google maps I've changed the route which will miss out C and F and instead will do the 13 bends road plus chatsworth estate. Should take no longer than 45 minutes to an hour.

How does that sound?

13 bends is the name of the road! Famous in these parts..and most of the bends have a shell-grip surface!

Why? Just a suggestion as googles timings can be inaccurate for us and you might want to extend. Adds a few more bends. Doubt I'll be able to ride.

All input welcome Dave has a route in mind we can consider but input from other local owners also open for discussion.

Dave for those who don't know including myself where is the 13 bends road, Personaly I like the idea of crossing Chatsworth park, I also like to ride across the "high roads" with vistas.

Keep the ideas coming and we will agree on one.

Sorry I have not checked in lately and local to the area Chatsworth only 5 min from my doorstep can I suggest if we were to leave CMC head for Beeley Moor, Chatsworth, Baslow, 13 Bends towards Bakewell, Ashford in the Water, up through Taddington,Chelmorton,Monyash, Newhaven, Via Gelia into Cromford then Matlock Bath.
This would mostly be back roads but twisty but good motoring, missing Bakewell out but doing so means 5-10 mins saved if we are making good or bad time I could add or shorten route.
Just my thoughts
Richard

PS
Matlock Bath will most likely to be busy, and may not be possible to keep us all together and ATM the local council are again trying to bring in on street parking charges 50p per hour for bikes with this in mind there is a biker cafe at Wardlow " The Yonderman " plenty of free parking and good nosh.
Route would need to be altered but could still end up at Matlock Bath after lunch and disperse from there, as and when you like.

I wouldn't choose at Matlock either to be fair to stop, cars tend to invade it on Saturdays n parking can sometimes be a struggle specially if ya wanna try to park together. Can imagine 20 odd fat S10s all over the place at best on a dry sunny day. Yonderman cafe is a pitstop I ride too for breaky n is a better bet in my book, but happy to go wherever in the end...

That all sounds good to me I like the mixture of roads also combining suggestions made by others, I really enjoyed your recommendations in the area last October, I have been past "The Yonderman" but never been in, a few have commented on the fact that it could be difficult to find somewhere to park as a group in Matlock Bath, perhaps The Yonderman would be a better option for lunch then complete the route ending in Matlock Bath , dispersing from there.

I'm all for local knowledge... The yonderman sounds like a plan ...and we can still end up in Matlock for a wander around ::008::

Looks like it's all coming together nicely Richard looking forward to meeting a few more S10 owners and to the days ride, do you think Charlie might be up for a day out.

For tractor please read BMW R1200 GSA, Charlie has not seen the ::022:: light "yet", apart from his taste in motorcycle manufacturer he's a "top man" be good to have him along for the day.
