Just tried my dyna plug out again. Didn't hold. Finally throwing it way.View attachment 88521
Identical experience to mine. Looks like a great idea in theory, falls way short in practice. I tried the Stop ‘n’ Go kit for a while and it too now resides in a land fill somewhere. I’ll take low-tech gummy worm plugs any day.

In that case, I'll keep both in my arsenal, I too can't bring myself to throw away the Dyna. I've read that it's only really effective on thin nails/screws anyawy

Same here. Because it's been a while and we've gotten a number of new members, I will re-post this to show what happened when this had been a good solid sticky string plug till gravel pulled it loose when getting out of a gas station. Forget the exact time but within 15-ish (?) minutes the tire lost pressure and as I was realizing why the rear of the bike was handling so bad it then had this massive blow-out. Darned near dropped the bike at highway speed at night and was lucky there was no traffic to run into or get hit by as the bike was all over both lanes of a highway. (Mitas E-07)

I still haven't added tire pressure monitoring and need to for the new season.
