Looking them up on their website, two different version are pictured, with holes in the front and with out.

Mine came with out. I know the s10 is water cooled and all, but was thinking I could put some holes to help with getting hot air out and away from the motor, or am I over thinking it?

It is odd that they show both. We have more than a few members with them. They haven't mentioned heat issues. But, call their tech support, (972) 243 - 7868, and get it straight from the horse's mouth.

You could always get out the drill and sawzall to add ventilation!

I have a TRex combo, I think the one without the holes is for the T700 as you need those holes to attach it to the frame. No problems with heat and is a very beefy unit. It was easy to install except for one bracket was slightly off, easily fixed with a hammer though.

Trex actually used my S10 to make the skid plate for the Gen2 (I live in Dallas), they used my bike and provided the skid plate for free as a thank you. Mine does not seem as solid (thinner sheet used) as the ones in the picture, but the design is the same and I have never had any issue with overheating on my S10.. Trex is a great company to work with, they have sent me a few bolts free of charge when they vibrated out (my fault for not using loctite on the bolts) from various Trex products on all my motorcycles.. Like them a lot.

Good to hear. Went right on with altrider bars. Rear left bracket was at a wee bit of the wrong angle but got it done. Pretty solid unit, more than enough for jersey.
