I’ve just ordered a skid plate from Touratech but I wish I’d asked on here first!
Has anyone used the Tourtech plate and if so how do they rate it? Does it interface with crash bars ok as I’ll be adding them next.

Thanks

I've got a few TT bits on my bike but not the skid plate, the only issue with ordering bits from TT UK (Adventure Bike Store) is they don't tell you it's on back order, they'll hang onto your money for an age but then there's no issue with getting a refund. It's a shame they've stopped doing bits for the S10 as I only 10 miles from their UK office.

They said it was in stock but I notice it’s been dispatched from Germany! I’ve got a couple of sat nav bits from them which seem to be very good quality and fit well. Just hope the plate is the same.

Thanks. That’s reassuring. I was going to wait until after lockdown and let Metal Mule have my bike to use as a pattern but I’m too impatient!!

Same thing here in the States, their website doesn’t tell you they have to notify Germany to make one of whatever you’ve ordered. My TT Tall seat is due Friday, took a month from when I ordered it. Sure hope it’s worth the wait. At least they didn’t charge my card until it shipped from Seattle.

Enjoy the TT seat. I got mine just over a week ago, but haven't had a real chance to test it yet. It feels very firm! The instructions I saw on the web state you fit the rubber feet from your old seat onto the new one, but mine came with them already fitted. Only fair given the price! The metal bushes in the pillion seat screw holes had to be transferred from the Yamaha one though.

The Touratech skid plate arrived quickly from Germany and is now fitted....sort of. The front top bracket doesn’t fit properly and presses against the headers. This maybe due to a slight difference between the Arrow headers and the OEM headers. The bottom of the plate is very close to the headers where they go under the engine and I’m expecting the rubber mat to melt. Anyone else had these issues?
