Hello, I'm installing an ACD skid plate and it mounts to the front two motor mount bolts. The instructions are a one page schematic, that's it. So I'm wanting to do it right and torque them to spec. It also is where the crash bars mount, so any advice on spacers etc. is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I just removed an ACD skid plate from my 2014....
The bolts were over tightened....one side stripped the threads in the head & I had to get a Time Sert thread repair done.
It's ok now...the thread repair was done by a good friend.

That's what I'm trying to avoid. I'll be torquing to spec with anti seize as well.

I have an ACD skid plate. I bought some grade 8 bolts that match the threads on the motor mounts then cut the heads off to make studs. I used some blue Loctite to hold the studs in the bolt holes of the engine and used lock nuts and washers. Torque the nuts to spec. I've had it that way since 2014 with no issues.

Remember the use of antiseize throws all torque specs out the window. Some recommend cutting torque 25%, some even recommend 40%, I never use it.

Perfect. The thickness of the nut and washer used to tighten the the motor mount/crash bars down is about perfect to act as the spacer for the ACD.
