strange rear mudguard and sprocket arrangement on there...
They had an extra set of links in a pouch. With a few minutes of work and some nuts and bolts getting moved around, you could run the chain around that huge sprocket and go climb a tree with it. Top speed was never much, 50 or so, but with that gear top speed was something like 15-20 mph but it could climb anything you pointed it at.

We had an old Trimotor giving rides in and around Sacramento. What a unique plane to see and hear.
