Thank you for the link. That is a fantastic deal on a set of real off road tires.

Twisted Throttle has them on eBay for the same price... but as individual front/rear listings. So head there if you want a rear but not a front, etc. Roughly $80/$62 Rear/Front. Five percent off either if you buy two.

eBay item number 253969640007 and 253969636132

I ordered a set. My back tire is a Mitas E07+ and ready to be changed out at about 6k miles. The front E07 is still looking like new. I'll be pleased with 7k miles. I was getting ready to get the new Dunlop Mission rear. This way I get 2 tires for less than the price of just the rear Dunlop. The reviews look good so I hope they work out.

I have a set of Dunlop Trailmax (purhased at a crazy low price from Chaparral several months ago) sitting on the rack waiting for the Shinko 705s to wear out. I'm still sorely tempted to get a set of these for the next change. I need a bigger tire rack. Now if I had a spare set of wheels like I did for the VStrom...1 setup for on road, 1 for off.

Got the new Mefo Super Explorer tires on Friday. They appear much more aggressive than the Shinko 804/805's I ran a few years ago (last picture). More knobby than paddle style. It might be another month or 2 before they get mounted. I shouldn't have any off road traction issues...... they will replace Mitas E07+ rear (about 6000 miles) and E07 front.

Are they old stock or new enough to store them for a few months?

FYI I'm 6000 miles in on that Dunlop deal. Like the tires, not much difference between them and the stock battlewings in feel. Still in stock at chap, might order another set after I see how these hold up at 10-15,000.

In the next few weeks I'll be fitting these onto the bike. Does anybody have any other updates? How do they ride etc?

In just over a month, you've finished off the Dunlops and then put 6,700 on the Mefos? .
No, Mefos? I am speaking only to the dunlops. I must have got mixed up on thread and posted in the wrong one somehow?
Oh now I see the thread got splintered some how and someone started spaking about the Dunlop deal and I commented on that.

Ill delete my comment so there is no confusion.
