My kids keep telling me that I failed at retirement because I stay so busy, but then for the most part I'm doing what I want and like to think I'm still helping make the world a little better. It's what makes ME comfortable.

Yesterday was 7 years for me, and loving it.
Damn - THAT went fast!

Good luck. I retired in May '20 and just got my left knee replaced in Aug '21. I could work around it, so I never got it taken care of. A fall in Feb. hastened the replacement. Full range of motion for the first time in over 30 years and no arthritic pain.
And as a bonus, it makes this big ADV easier for me to handle. Good luck on a diagnosis and solution!
3 months after I posted this my kidneys started to fail. Some unknown infection caused my immune system to attack my kidneys. It's been a long year of recovery and I'm only at 30% efficiency. The treatment drugs took their toll but I'm getting some strength back little by little. Don't know if I'll be riding this year. Might start up a new regimen next month for improving my kidney function. Wasn't in my retirement plans but I'm still here and remaining flexible!

Did you inform your new Son in Law about your exchange/return policy?

My daughters did not find it amusing……

hopefully he rides motorcycles, works on old cars and drinks beer?
No I didn’t, but should have! He doesn’t ride motorcycles but he is a tequila aficionado. In fact the wedding was at the Fortaleza distillery, (beautiful grounds), in Tequila, MX. My SIL is good friends with the owner. Oh and he is a discerning consumer of good craft beer as well.
