Must be a split personality in Steve’s bike. I’ve seen it teach triple digit speeds, pass multiple cars at will, and go like hell. I just thought he had to get back to camp to poop.
LoL. It must depend on who he's riding with. I'm SURE it's a coincidence, but it seems like whenever the two of you get together, somebody walks away with a broken leg. (Or doesn't)

I told heberhog that I had to beat him to the showers before he stunk them all up.

Put on a set of 07+ and wore out the rear in about 7,500 km. the front was still good so replaced the rear with a TKC 70 Rock. A great tire in the dirt and very good on the twisties on bitumen. But that lasted only 6,500 km and the front 07+ still has 50% left. So replaced the rear with a 07+ Dakar. It is not as confidence inspiring on the twisties as the TKC, you can definitely feel a bit of movement but it never let go.

I am having trouble finding the E07+ tires. I like to run the Dakar on the rear and non Dakar on the front. Every place I look for the non Dakar shows out of stock. Do any of you know of a vendor that has tires available. Thank you.

Amazon usually has them available, from wherever. Their return policy can't be beat.

Other than a slight price increase, any reason to avoid Dakar on the front?

Hello Holligl. No reason for most to avoid the Dakar front. I am guessing on my bike it is in the few were production tolerances were tight on the forks or something. The heavy stiff tires do not handle well for me. I have found the lighter or more flexible tires not only ride better but are much more confidence inspiring. With the heavy sidewall tires my bike deflects off any and everything. It will skip and chatter on the road hitting black top patches and groves. Off road any little rock or rut the tire falls in the front just shoot out from under me. I am running 1 weight fork oil with the rebound and compression setting all the way out. I can loosen up the spring preload and it will does way better but then it will dive and bottom out easy. With the lighter more flexible tires the fork settings work well for off the shelf suspension. I did check Amazon and I have gotten a few tires through them. The last time I got a defective tire. Amazon didn't handle the return they told me to contact who they got it from. I had to pay to ship the tire back and the replacement they sent was only marginally better. I put it on rode it a bit and ordered another tire from another vendor. The last two I got from Amazon looked like they had been banded up way too tight in shipping or were on the bottom of the pile of tires laying on it side on a two by four or something. Not Amazon's fault on that because they never saw the tire. They are only the middle man but shipping two tires back is more than I care to pay. Not that I can't get a bad tire in the mail from any one else and it would cost me as well. Oh by the way any tire I have used that are heavy or stiff gives my bike issues not just the Mitas. I still have a new Mitas E07 that gave me trouble. I can use it if I have to. I always keep a set of tires at the house I can throw on and use. I just seem to like the lighter tires on the front. Never had an issue with any of the heavy tires on the rear of the bike.

Maybe it's because we have Amazon Prime, but our returns have been very easy. I did return a pair of bad Shinko's this summer, at no cost. I appreciate your explanation. I have always gone with the Dakars because of the rocky terrain in Arizona.

You have a standard or ES?
