I look forward to it almost every year, even if I don't buy anything. This year, with the delay in delivery and the "need" to farkle the smile and sweating of the palms seemed a bit more urgent.

Yep, the annual coffee table book known as the Touratech catalog just showed up. Ooh, this is gonna be fun!!!!!

And since many aren't aware of how I can farkle a marshmallow if I felt it needed it, allow me to share a project from a few years bike......

After completion, my wife told me that if she saw one more box show up with that familiar yellow box tape she was going to kill me! That and the fact that we were on the Christmas card list of our UPS driver!!!!!

It was a scary day in our household when about two months had passed and a yellow taped box showed up. I got a call from a very angry wife. I got home where I was met with a sharp glare. I told her I had NOT ordered anything as I didn't need anything (DUH!!!). Of course she still had that glare. Suddenly I find myself worried. Was there something I had ordered and forgotten about? Was it a back order? The answer was no all around. I had NOT ordered anything.

I open the box with me strategically placed between said glaring wife and the knife holder. There were no heavy objects near either. I open the box and start laughing. Inside the box is a set of Touratech tumblers and a couple bottle openers with a thank you note from Touratech for helping them exceed all their wildest sales projections for the year.

Phew, disaster averted!!!

Hmmm, I wonder how long it takes before she notices the book on the coffee table? O:) O:) O:)

Haha, Todays mail delivered my Motoradgarage order (windshield bracket, raising links and black tank stripes). Now, where can I put them so I don't forget where they're at? :)

Re: The mail sometimes delivers a smile and sadness

Oh today was a bad day good day and then a sad day again. I got my letter from Yamaha telling my that the Tenere's will be all delivered by November 30. :( Then I saw my new 2011 Tourtech catalog, and wow they came out with some great stuff for the ST. :) THe cases look cool, LED running lights that fit under the headlights with a new front panel to close up the space under there. They got LED Blinkers, a lot of protection all around even a drive shaft crush bung. Just thier crash bars look cheap and the bash plate looks good except for the mounting of it. Altrider bash plate still looks the best on the market. Thinking about ordering up some more farkles then reality set back in I wont see my bike till November probably. :'(

My dealer also said that two suppliers for the Tenere were wiped out and that was the reason for the delay. Yamaha is helping them to get back up and running.
