I think it would be valuable to see what we are starting with, then we can evaluate what was gained with upgrades.

If your bike is not running and the time has not elapsed to activate that Auto Tune, it will not work. Also I believe the engine has to be in a rpm that the Auto Tune will work. Not sure of the last, but know it will not work at idle..

went out today for a blast on the coast roads, i had debi as pillion and a friend on a super duke 990 and guess wot...........
he couldnt keep up ::025::
with debi on pillion, tcs off, on acceleration 1st 2nd 3rd the front wheel is off the ground, tons of power that just keeps coming. overtaking cars without dropping a cog is effortless, my mate couldnt believe how quick i was even with 2 up and he was solo, great fun roll on better weather.
im really loving this bike right now lol

What AFR do you have in the 60% and also in the rest of the AFR table?
Thanks for the report.

Hello everybody ... a while back I reported an 'error 39' on the dashboard when my bike stopped working so I went with it to the Yamaha importer (loaded it on my pickup truck) on friday last week after resting all night and showing the same error the following morning ... yesterday (monday) I spoke with the Service manager (AB) who said that he had checked and verified that the 'error 39' was from the injectors 'short circuit' and that he would test all components related (O2 sensors, lambda, etc.) and would give me an answer today but he believed it was a malfunction of a component 'non Yamaha' and suggested the Power Commander which is in line with the injectors. Today I returned and confirmed that the 'error 39' is still present but he couldn't do more to prevent this from happenning since he is not authorized to get involved in 'farkles' 'non Yamaha'. I called the Dynojet dealer and he confirmed that the PCV could be the culprit and suggested to disconnect the PCV connection to the injectors and try the bike without them. Inside the Yamaha shop I did the modification and returned home riding the bike and no drama yet (no PCV, AT, O2 Optimizer, LCD200) ... so I'm waiting to go to Dynojet shop and have my PCV tested!!!!! ... the great thing is that Yamaha didn't charge, not even a penny, for its labour and shop time ... OUTSTANDING ::012:: ::012:: ::012:: ::012:: ::014:: ::014:: ::014:: ::022::
Will let you know the outcome.
Cheers,
Roberto aka Thagua

Takes all of about 5 minutes along side the road to remove the PCV injector leads and return the bike to stock condition.

I hope you get is sorted with the PCV.

Reporting back with the error 39 ... reconnected the injectors to the PCV and tested the bike in the Dyno and no error reported ... except the normal error codes (ABS and others) which happen when on the bench ... so I left the shop satisfied, but ... it happened again after a few days so EB (www.dynomecanica.cl) told me to let the side panel cover out so as to refresh the PCV in case it was a failure due to overheating, so I did that and while I was a bit scepticall that this would work (even got a heat disipator used on computers) the PCV worked and with the LCD200 hooked up I could get instant readings of the AFR .... but, when going to a town nearby (around 100 km) the bike stopped after running only 50 km ... disconnected the PCV from the injectors and continued travelling ... replaced the side cover and phoned EB to let him know that the PCV had failed again ... he is e-mailing Dynojet to seek advice and myself waiting ...
Hope to get an answer soon ... will let you know.
Cheers,
Thagua

Hi Thagua, sorry to hear you're having issues. When you hookup the PC V to the Control Center software on your PC, does it report errors?

You can check for errors at the right hand bottom of the screen, and by going to the menu: View; Device Error Details.

Does it report any errors?

Hello Blue Eyes ... no error reported when hooked up ... everything looks fine until you run the bike for a long distance ... it must be a cold welding or component that disconnects after some heat is build up inside the PCV ... sometimes happens!!!!
Cheers,
Thagua

Thanks Thagua, yes that could very well be the cause. Have them replace the PC V under warranty, that should prove if the PC V was indeed faulty. ::008::
