What? Oh, the vacuum, yeah. Y'all sure do like your vacuums. I'm gonna go for a bicycle ride. :D
LOL...... I couldn't go for a bike (bicycle) ride yesterday with all the ice......... I just went ahead and knocked out a 8-9 mile run. It was excellent, there were no cars on the road ! LOL When I got back, my stocking cap had turned to ice. It was a rigid popsicle. Thats a new one.............

One time in Groton Connecticut, I had to dive on the sub. When I came out of the water, ice was flaking off of my wet suit. I don't know what the freezing temp of saltwater is, but it's cold.

-20F yesterday morning (balmy 2 this AM) with really icy roads, but i have studs on my tires, and electrically heated gloves, so i rode my bicycle. it wasn't windy, which was nice.

I ride every day to work (7 miles each way), and ~45-60 miles per day when the roads aren't so bad. My commuting route is pretty calm - not much traffic.

Don't buy crank-brothers pedals.

I am a slow learner. First one broke, and all they did was send a replacement set. I used the second set, but every time before i'd get on the bike, i'd test each pedal. Well, a pedal from the second set broke the same way, but in the driveway while i was standing, and not on the road when i was riding. I've also broken 2 crank arms - Minnesota deicers are very corrosive, and once a crack starts in AL, it's gonna' go.

Pedal axles were steel. Crank-bros design had a sharp step / 90-degree angle ,and that stress riser is where the crack would form. Crack, fatigue, failure.

My Look pedals from 1986 are still going strong - maybe 50K miles? They're on my tandem now, lubed with Jetlube Moly paste. Probably have 40K miles on a set of Shimano XT SPDs which i haven't touched. Ridden in Minnesota and Montana year-round. Pedal outlived a crank arm!

Oh, pink bike is a 64 cm. i wanted a campy bike since 1980 (breaking away), and finally had one made that fit me (tall, long arms, long legs). Super record stuff - nice, but spendy. The bicycle in 2022 cost more than my super tenere in 2014 (it's a 2013 MY super 10).

Yep... Once they cack, they are done.. I think that little crack where that is located is somewhat hard to see. I really need to go eyeball my LOOK and give them some love. They are smooth as silk, but still need to go take a peak !

The bike prices are stuff are totally nuts..... About a year ago I wanted to get back on a Mt bike. My old race bike is 23+ years old and just to many things could go wrong with it. Anyhow, after so many years away from the hobby I really didnt know the 'industry' like I once did. LONG story short, I spoke with friends in the industry, spoke with race friends in Colorado, Etc. Etc. I found what I think I wanted (new & modern). I put the parts on it I wont break this season... OK, I got what I want (on paper) and I start looking at this manufacturer and the group I want... They have three flavors of this bike..... (C) is $13,500............... (B) is $14,200.............. (A) is $15,500................. Yea,............Uummmmmmmmmm.........NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

At that moment I realized I wont be getting a new bicycle............... LOL

I still ride my really old race stuff..... Funny story on that, when I got back on the bike about a year ago I met up with bicycle racer friends that agreed to be nice and let me play catch up with them... They would drag me around for the day... And this DID happen for a few months, drag me around... It was funny they snickered at me for having such OLD equipment... Like it was super old vintage junk.... LOL It didnt bother me at all, I was just out having fun.....

Fast forward 6 months and I was destroying those dudes. I would drop them with no issue... I guess 25 was a little steep, I would solo away.. The last few times Ive ridden with that group they "suggest" I go join the Cat 1-2 training rides, suggest I might not want to ride with them any longer............................. (on my old junk)................. LOL At my age, it's just for 'fun'.... but the situation was funny... I do try and keep a close eye on the all the workings, as the parts are hard to find (being so old), and keeping it in top condition.

Yeah, anything that cost that much, better have a motor attached. When I was in the Navy, there were some guys that would bring their bikes with them. Super nice, super light, and super expensive. Never made since to me, but motorcycles didn't make sense to them, so . . . .

Some give away their money for drugs and booze, I give mine away for my motorcycles addiction.

On the other hand, never ask to borrow my motorcycle, chain saw or gun. They always come back broken. But the wife, she alway comes back the same.
Satisfied ?
