I’ve just booked 3 x Saturday 4th May day ride only tickets for my usual team for this years Taffy Dakar (TD)! Still tickets left for Saturday main ride event only! Hurry only 19 approx left!
Here is the ticket link to the 2019 event https://www.taffydrwg.co.uk/index.php/taffy-drwg-tickets/book-your-tickets-group-or-single
I have a team of three including two female riders as I have previously ridden with them on the last 5 or so TD’s.
I will be on my S10 which I used last year. It’s an orienteering event with grid rrefernces and clues at that location which help to find the correct answer. Eg what’s on the tree? Depending on your off road skill level with a big adventure bike will dictate what off road lane you can or can’t do. In between each lane grid ref you can ride on all types of Welsh roads including tarmac and some forest roads in brilliant scenery. We never will win or get a high score as we never get up early enough to get all the grid references done and finished by 6 pm but it’s the taking part that counts and the profits all go to Local charities.
Any questions please ask and we have a TD Marshall on this forum so I expect he’ll update also.
