Hi has anyone used the T-Rex crash bars and skid plate and if so what do you think of them. Has anybody had experience of taking a tumble with them and how did the bike fair. Does anyone know of a UK supplier of T-Rex products.

I have the T-rex sump guard and crash bars (full frame), but I have not used it in anger so no idea how well it would protect the bike, but its very well made and fitted great on my Tenere (I have a 2016 ES) so I have no doubts it will protect well in the event of a spill. I was so impressed with it, that I also bought a c rash bar kit for my wifes FZ07 and also had a close friend buy a crash bar kit for his KTM 996 from them. all, the kits fitted well and seem well made. I am in Texas very near T-rex, we actually went to the shop to buy the bars!! so don't know about shipping to the UK.

Thanks for the info Gary. Wish I lived that close because I could then just nip in and buy what i need which wouldn’t involve a large wedge of import tax.

Take a look at the other postings as there is more info. I bought both and thankfully have not "used" them. Took a while to install them and had to re-bend one of the brackets, and enlarge one of the holes but overall not bad. With import and exchange I was up for about $700 so it was still less than other options but I really love the protection on that skid plate. Would I buy them again? Probably. Not much of an answer but the best I can do...

Materials used are good but I have not tested them in a crash thankfully. Fitment with mine was not so good + installation was not simple and I have a pretty good set of tools to work with.
Buy from trex again? Not I.
