I just received my SW Motech Tank Quick Lock and the instructions had three different size bolts listed for "Yamaha" and that I should choose the correct length. For those that installed it, which one (short, medium, or long) did you use?

Thanks, Rynn

PS: I guess I could try each one, but figure I check with someone that has already installed it. ;)

I just compared the thread depth on the old vs. the new. It hasn't fallen off yet or sprang any leaks so I think it worked. :)

Dang Ryan, I just did this and can't remember which ones to use.. Getting old sucks.
I think you use the long ones. Drop one in and see how much of the bolt is left out. You only need, maybe 3/8".
Also try to get the 70mm across the tangs.
Not much help. :)

I used the one that added the least amount of length to the existing bolt in use. You only need enough to make up the difference in the mount so shorter is better.

I'd like to know if you can actually get that pathetic 16mm panhead screw on the bag side to work. The 20mm side was fine but there was NO WAY IN HELL that 16mm would work. I just swapped for a 20mm I had and all was right in the world thereafter.
