I'll post this again to ensure that members who answered my question about the missing weld on the right hand SW Motech S-Ten crash bar. Thanks all for your inputs. Motech says return the bars for another set because the weld area should be 100%. Thanks Again......SHUMBA SW MOTECH RH CRASH BAR WELD.jpg

Sure hope they are covering shipping both ways....
Certainly, I bought these crash bars from my Yamaha dealer along with the bike.
A replacement set is waiting for pick up.
I'll give these a close inspection and if I see any flaws I'll report.
SW Motech is a very good company and this is unusual to find a flaw in their workmanship.

It's nice to hear that they stepped up and replaced the bars. All manufacturing suffers from occasional defects, but how they deal with it says more about their US representation or the company as a whole. Thumbs up to SWMotech.

Yes, absolutely. I have a replacement set of bars at no additional cost to me. I think this is a one of, er one off and not likely to occur again with SE Motech. Good company great products..protect your bike as crash bars are a very important inexpensive way to prevent damage to your ride.
