Super Tenere Rally Arkansas, 2020

Should the Rally be canceled, kept in April or moved to later, such as September?

For those of you going to the rally in Arkansas and in need of a good old fashioned burger while out riding, a must stop is the Ozone Burger Barn located somewhere south of rally central. If the restaurant at Marble Falls isn't open for breakfast, a short ride to Harrison to the Townhouse Cafe will be a must stop
The Ozone Burger Barn is on Hw 21 about 50 miles south of the resort in Ozone.
Hw 21 just happens to be one of the "must ride" roads in the area.

Local friend Norm with a 18 GSA, I assured him the Tenere group would go easy on him. His bike is well experienced.
Norm, Doug and Rem made it to Tuk this past June. And four of us including Norm did the SCMA four corners ride In 2018. Unfortunately Doug won’t be able to make this one to Arkansas.
Was able to shuffle vacation time around a bit to clear time for this. looks like a great group again and I love the area. I will be riding down with these guys after all.

It'd be great if you can get those to PatrickG450 and in an electronic format for folks to share.
Thanks!

What is the off road riding like? I’m wondering what tire selection should be. I’ll have 1700 miles to get to Arkansas. If there is good off road, I could have some new knobbies shipped to the hotel. Don’t really want to be messing with tires on a trip unless forced to.

It's the absolute best in the entire midwest region.
Bring tires. ;)

I have 80/20 tires and do ok on the main part of the dirt roads (as long as they are dry) around here in the River Valley and parts of NW AR. If you plan on riding like in Eemsreno's second picture, which is more like an ATV trail, I would go with knobbies.

The off pavement can very from forest roads to extreme off road riding. Just like Colorado but not near as dangerous, drop offs are usually short compared to hundreds or thousands of feet in Colorado.
If you can get any takers to go with you , places like Mill Creek [not far west of Marble Falls] can be EXTREME!

Here is Jaxon and my son

I'll be on the new bike with Michelle so I'll have to stick to the Forest Road stuff.
