Super Tenere Rally Arkansas, 2020

Should the Rally be canceled, kept in April or moved to later, such as September?

where do you work at? guess me and you will have to set a weekend to ride. All my summer plans are AR this year
Work in Fort Smith @ Gerdau, live in Van Buren. I work a 4 on 4 off schedule, which most of the time is 6 on 2 off, ie...why I had to bale on rally. Send a pm and maybe we can go for a ride.

At least ten quality hotels/motels in Harrison, which is an easy 12 miles north.

I would not recommend any motel in Jasper, which south of Marble Falls, because they are all old and in poor condition.

I'm in Atlanta, and fennelg has tentative plans to ride over from n. Carolina and ride from here with me. Probably ride for a few hours out and find a place to stay to make for a shorter next day ride. The other option is to stay at my place and head out for about a 12 hour ride. You are certainly invited to join. I'm planning on camping.

FYI, there is a local Air BNB about 1/4 mile away that’s still available.

I don’t know what everyone’s riding plans are, but Friday, I’m riding a “Historiographical Tour” to visit 2 local Civil War sites. Going to Wilson’s Creek MO & Pea Ridge AR

There is another battlefield In Prairie Grove, AR. It’s about an hour ride from Pea Ridge. Take Hwy 62 west out of Fayetteville toward Farmington. About 8 miles past Farmington.

Can anyone guess on nice roads between Dogpatch and AG Russell knife shop? https://agrussell.com/ Those roads look to be curvy, but ya know.... maps. I could sure see an afternoon to visit his shop, should be a hell of a selection of knives.

If it was me this is the route I would take. Hwy 7 to Jasper...74 to Ponca....43 to 41...21 to Kingston....74 to 23...23 to 12/127...12 to Rogers...New Hope Road to South 26th goes right to Russell Knives. Hobbs State Park on Hwy 12 is a really fun road and runs along Beaver Lake going into Rogers. There is a cut off off Hwy 12 on County Road 88 to New Hope Rd but I always stay on Hwy 12 and go thru old downtown Rogers. I don't recommend going Hwy 412 even though it might be faster, but it's a Divided Hwy and IMO isn't as fun to ride. Hope this helps you.

Just what I was looking for, thanks. I'll play with the (above) provided link as well.

Yes, I had forgotten about that 1. I was there a coupla years ago. Nice place, but pretty small. I think it’s a state park instead on national park. But, we should probably go there also. Thanks for the reminder.
