Super Tenere Rally Arkansas, 2020

Should the Rally be canceled, kept in April or moved to later, such as September?

Sturgis would most likely work very well for me, it’s only a 800 mile ride to get there and I would love to attend a Tenere Rally . But I’m not the one doing the big work to set it up, so whatever area gets chosen i hope it all works out great for everyone !
I'm odd man out when it comes to some of the epic rides that a lot of riders describe. OTOH, it's all about the camaraderie. And yes whoever is setting this up should be able to choose the time and place. I can't wait to retire and be able to make my own schedule. I'm willing to bet wherever the rally is held it will be a blast.

Once again we may be looking at separate East and West events.
Not separate. I would prefer to look at it as we would have 2 rallys in one year. Join one or join both. Just dont schedule them the same month unless one could do both back to back on a single trip, i.e. 2-3 days apart.

1 day ride to closest rally
3 days at rally #1
2 days ride to next rally
3 days at rally #2
2 days ride home
-----
11 day trip
use 4 weekend days=only 7 days off work. Doable

That would be SO fun, I can’t attend, but sounds awesome! LOL

When I retire in about 25-30 years, I might be able to take off an extra day! LOL

some body throw a dart at the map and call it good... no matter the choice some will be able some will not depending on various factors. my suggestion is pick a place that has not had a gathering ,some place new (it is about exploring and adventure ) and adding to the memories. where ever it happens to be.

If it’s in the NE I’m in. Black Hills? Hmmm......I’d have to do some cipherin’ to work out the possibilities.

Checkswrecks and Silver Bullet have made great points. Two separate events held in consecutive weekends would let some Iron Butt types attend both events. More importantly it would allow more people to attend at least one event. Dirt Dads suggestion of the Adorondaks sounds great. Western US has so much great riding the East gets overlooked.

big bend is cool ,has its own charm , drift over to big bend state park adds to adventure .... it gets hot there quick ,so a early spring or a fall time would be important.... almost anything west that doesn't have altitude heats up quick I think.

Ridden NE OK around Grand Lake (Grove, OK) quite a bit but go 125 miles east and you're in the Ozark Mountains. Not knocking OK or pushing for MO but IMHO NE OK doesn't offer the riding the Ozark Mountains do.

The area around ‘car wash falls’ in AR is really cool looking as well.
