I’m thinking of dates in early June or Early September.

I’m sure I can’t see all there is to see in a couple of days, and I wouldn’t be opposed to going in June and September.

I need a spot to park my toy hauler. Power would be nice but not totally necessary.
All the places I have in mind would have power and water hook ups for toy haulers adjacent to the mini cabins, and tent locations. My wife retires this year so I may even upgrade my travel trailer to a toy hauler before then.

A cousin invited us to camp with them a couple months ago and my wife was bored enough to go. Had a great weekend but she said she needs a bigger toy hauler. What I had with the Tenere loaded(which the wife will not ride) was the max my Honda Ridgeline would pull.

First step done. Ridgeline gone and I love the RAM 2500 diesel. Now looking for a toy hauler that will hold both the 10 and the bike she will ride, Yamaha Venture TC. Bikes alone about 1500 lbs. if the new one has a generator fine. If not I have one to keep the batteries charged.

I hauled the Wolf Pup to Romney, Ouray CO, Tellico Plains meetup and to Idaho. Has a bed, bunk, shower, fridge and stove. (the former) Wrecker Checker has a picture of me sitting on the bed cooking pancakes at either Romney or Tellico for anybody who wanted them. But what works for me alone does not work for my family. But the memories of the trips to meet Tenere friends are good ones. Even if it rained!!!

(Sales pitch). If you and significant other tent camp, but the ground is harder and farther down than last year, AND you have a pickup this might be for you. The bed is 2-3 feet off the ground/floor. Beds for a couple grandkids. Hot water showers! Two burner stove and microwave! (At Romney some cute chick wanted to microwave something. Sure. Fired up the generator, she cooked something and I think I let it run an hour to charge battery)

Just writing this the memories it brings up. CW, DD, Patrick, Limey, Mac10 and the misses, Gunner, Tabasco, and the not heard from recently Snakebiten. Sure I am leaving out many 10 riders but my memory has faces my mind does not name.

Snake also had a Wolf Pup. He referred me to the Missouri dealer I got mine from.

Yes, it rained, but those are some great memories.

Looking forward to making more regardless of what truck/trailer (or bike) is involved.

If it's 2021, it will definitely be Katie with me. Based on the pictures I've see of off pavement in the Black Hills, not so sure it will be just limited to the great paved stuff out there.

I went to a ST-Owners event in the Deadwood area 10 years ago , rode some great roads then. Ready to go back and its only about 1300 miles for me.

Rib Lake Wisconsin to Deadwood is about 800 miles so a pretty easy one or Two day ride, I hope to make it to a Tenere rally someday . I have ridden to Sturgis a bunch of times usually in one day on mostly two lane highways. For me it’s always been pretty rare to see another Tenere on the road.

Jaxon would know how many showed up in Ouray in 2013 but I would guess it hit 90.
It looks like this gathering could be big but like Madhatter said "these are strange times"
2013 was like 130-140

No more Imogene ?
I'd love to take my little Katie on Imogene, but unless bigbob swings by with space in the trailer it's probably not going to happen.

If I'm brutally honest, that day we were on Imogene went through my head as I pulled the trigger on my cast wheel big Katie. Call it temptation reduction.

I was loooking for the one with me and Heather.........

You got it? Post that one.
Last I heard she had paid a company to scrub that photo from the internet. I didn't ask her why. I assume she had a good reason.

I only found time to contact one campground during todays shit show. Its the Crazy Horse Campground about a mile North of Custer SD. I like it because of the layout of and close proximity of 16 four bed cabins, large meadow for tents, and RV hook up sites for toy haulers. The first picture is of the of the four bed cabins that could potentially sleep 4 or 5 and the second photo is the area we would take. There are also more cabins and tent sites available if we fill up our area. I'll try to look for more choices tomorrow but I really like the layout of this place were tents, cabins, deck house over the shower house that sleeps 6, and RV toy hauler sites are all within close proximity near a bath house. If you want a closer look check here. https://www.custercrazyhorsecampground.com/

if stores and restaurants are available in Custer then its definitely a winner..... I could be wrong but 100 plus guys in these times seems like a stretch . so should be able to handle what crowd we muster . so what's the dates ? a Friday Saturday Sunday kinda thing which ever weekend or month . if I ride I will take 3 days to get there , 3 days to play and 3 days to get home on . 1273 miles from my drive way to Custer SD.
