We do this EVERY YEAR, same as the FJR and some others. According to people like you, this model was to have been discontinued EVERY year since 2012 and a person I know with Yam N.A. wasn't too subtle about the model continuing. While it hasn't been officially discontinued, I'll bet money that there won't be a 2021 Super Tenere.
First of all, FJR has been officially cancelled for 2021.We do this EVERY YEAR, same as the FJR and some others. According to people like you, this model was to have been discontinued EVERY year since 2012 and a person I know with Yam N.A. wasn't too subtle about the model continuing.
Sooner or later you'll be right, but on the other hand the FJR is still going after 19 years.
logically makes sense to keep 1200 model in the lineup to compete with big bore ADV bikes of the world.I had heard that rumor and asked the factory rep at Daytona. He said that as far as he knew there would be a 2021 model. -JEP-

I'm not saying that it's not gone for good, but the FJ was gone for few years before it return as the FJR; faster, stronger, better. Do we know that the T12 and FJR can't be made compliant? Easily. . . . inexpensively? IIRC, the early VMax had a similar problem, year to year, with EPA requirements. Yamaha just kept increasing the V-Boost, and carried on. Maybe Volkswagen will show them how to pass.First of all, FJR has been officially cancelled for 2021. . . .
What would the S10 be missing to meet Euro5 ???
NoSooooo, did the '17 go CANBUS?
Cool, after 4 or 5 machines (BMW 1250 Adv,Triumph 900 Tiger GT PRO, Ducati Multistrada 1260S, Suzuki 1050XT), I think I'm gonna get a RELIABLE bike (Had 800 Tiger 10k km in a year, minors issues but still, Honda 1200VFR DCT 15k km in a year, 1 minor issue), I love the face of the GS (riode the 2018 1200 normal and ADC, fun-tastic) but my god this reliability, no way.2021 ES only , no base model .
You don’t have to have a euro 5 compliant motor in Switzerland?Went from Yamaha Switzerland importer, the only color for 2021 will be blue/black with blue rims at the price of 16,990 CHF which is 19,185 US$.
I'll get this one with some options and will wait 2022 for the replacement, if any who knows.
The Super Tenere 1200 is EURO 4 so in 2021 and because 2021 is Euro 5 mandatory Yamaha will stop the S10, they are selling their last bikes and finito !You don’t have to have a euro 5 compliant motor in Switzerland?
nothing wrong with either,Fixed the kickstand? What was wrong with the old one? I notice from Gen 1 to Gen 2 it went from steel to aluminum.
$19K USD for a S10?? Over The Top!Went from Yamaha Switzerland importer, the only color for 2021 will be blue/black with blue rims at the price of 16,990 CHF which is 19,185 US$.
