The wait is tough! I have been jonesing for a bike like the S10 ever since I rode a R1200GS in Brasil a few years ago. The good news is Yamaha say fit to sell them in the USA at all. We miss out on many cool bikes because it is assumed that all we want are cruisers. So the wait is going to be well worth it!

Rode it yesterday at IMS Dallas. I really enjoyed the bike and ride, not sure why it was so fun, only 15 minute ride with 9 other riders on various bikes (2 other S10s). I started in touring and was going to switch later during the ride, but was into the ride and busy traffic on the freeway forgot to switch to Sport, but I had a blast. Very comfortable and had good wind protection. Shifted nice and easy, good throttle response, seat felt great. Yeah I got excited, but I'm not too good at waiting, surely Yamaha can get us some bikes before May?

I took a turn on one yesterday at the Dallas show as well. Sweet ride and looking forward to May. Put my deposit down early Sept. and May can't get here fast enough.

There's another poll thread on ADVrider as well. The rumor mill is indicating the Super 10 is outpacing the first year FJR orders...

Dunno what you guys are smoking but the black ones will be faster. They put in a few stealth cc's on them thats why it's the black edition. All those rumours going the other way are simply wrong. Tru story.

I, like most here, put my deposit down as soon as the opened the PDP ordering. Before anyone stateside had seen anything other than pics. Last month a dealer here in Dallas had 1 for display and I went over and got to sit on and check that one out but didn't get to ride until yesterday. Great ride! It was a brief 12-15 minute ride on city streets but great nonetheless. Smooth abd relatively quiet, suspension needed a little more preload for my fat arse and I'll need a taller windscreen for my 6'6" self but yeah, I'm more than a little anxious. I'm comitted to not ordering any farkles other than maybe the tall Calsci screen until it gets here. I want to make sure I put on it what I need and not overdo it with needless farkles. If there is such a thing. :
Hoesbster, did you get that Vstrom sold yet? I've seen you on ADV but haven't looked to see if it sold yet.

Sup Ten, yes I have a guy coming this next fri with cash in his hand to buy it. He is from canada, Victoria. I am glad it sold. I am getting $4600 out of the bike, and have sold about $1800 worth of stuff off of it.
