Wiltshire Council have closed the Legal byways open to all traffic including motorcyclists.
These historic routes have been open for many years as a way of the public being able to view the famous Stonehenge stones without paying!
The Trail Riders Fellowship (TRF) a legitimate national group are tasing cash to fight the closure in the High Court London.
If you can make a donation please see the link below.

Update. The High Court case is being heard on 21/22 November in London. The initial pledged £10k has been surpassed and standing at around £13k now so well done all for any pledges. More cash pledges will be needed. Any spare cash not absorbed by the court case will be given to the Trail Riders Fellowship who try to protect our diminishing legal green roads. www.trf.org.co.uk

A festive update! The rights of the general public and continuation of using the byeways (green dirt roads open to legally registered motorised vehicles in UK) around Stonehenge Wiltshire England were upheld in the High Court London on the 21st December. I passed by on Christmas Eve and to my delight the gates and obstructions had been removed!
The public funded a TRF legal fight in the name of common sense and the right to ride these iconic green roads locally to the World Heritage Site of Stonehenge.
Well done to those that provided the funds and to the TRF whom brought the case to court.

It is good to see that sometimes you can take on the "vested interests" and win. Congratulations!
