I admit I am a junkster/recycler I should be riding a KLR. ::024::
Never the less I found this little stainless 8" Wok at a thrift store and a set of these stainless rings three to be exact.
I thing they went to some sort of grain milling machine as the inside of the cut outs are sharp and they all meshed together.
Made for a good base on my Campingaz Turbo stove with my new screw on valve. I filed four notches into it to hold it to the pot support legs of the Turbo. As you can see it gets hot and stir fries fast.
Now for the baking oven, we have all seen this mess kit that no one wants to use OMG!! it's Aluminum NOOOOO!! ??? ::) after decades of hikers, back packers and campers using Aluminum. By now they would be getting lost in the woods from memory loss if the Aluminum thing was true. I found this kit with the lid and two plates the concave lid I found with a pot I bought at another (You guessed it) thrift store. Combined all together makes a great little camp oven. Mixed up some instant pancake batter cake batter consistency added dried cranberries dropped a little oil in the aluminum plate and coated it. Pored the batter in a little over half the pan, put the bottom pot over it turned on med-low heat didn't time it but I would say 20 minutes maybe. Poked a knife into it "done" we have a little cake, was delicious with a cup of coffee.

Need to get instant pizza dough mix next. I need to figure a rig that will concentrate the heat to the top of the oven to brown the top of things.
The Wok ring I will design something lighter and drive the heat directly at the bottom center of the Wok. But then again for the Wok it does fit like a glove on my new Jet Boil knock off!! :p
It's more crap you have to pack, the oven can be made with the small lid and plate to use with the MSR Alpine stainless kit I guess? I use that kit on and off.
Found a place that sells the Wok>> https://www.tigerchef.com/thunder-group--slwk008-8-stainless-steel-wok-serving-dish-with-2-handles.html

I am also in the middle of building a XGK MSR style stove out of old stuff..
A broken BRS stove and bottom of a stainless steel water bottle.
Working on a base and trying to figure out a pot support system.

Lol! I was a chef for 20+ years in my previous life and i like to think to much and tinker.
The wok was a bit overkill but i had to try and yes it worked, not compact enough but if i needed just one pot rig it would do the job.
The mini mess kit oven was another what if? And it worked well with a little experimenting mainly with what stove and how precise of a control the valve has.
I find large wide burner heads work the best, mainly the Campingaz 240 turbo has a great valve and wide head.
I burnt a hole through my pot using my mini converted stove above with that bell housing jet exhaust burner head.
That stove actually came out working great and efficient as well, it seems to have become my go to for hot water and just plane cooking but it's insanely loud in the morning.
Thanks for noticing my contraptions.
Pete
