2013 Tenere, 50k miles
I haven't ridden the Tenere in a few weeks due to travel, so yesterday I decided to ride down to the beach and go for a run. The bike started right up and idled fine, I got on and at the first stop sign I noticed that the bike was idling very low and it stalled out. I hit the starter and away we went, the bike ran fine again but I could tell it was idling low.

I made it to the bottom of the hill and it stalled at the stop light. The bike wouldn't restart so I rolled over to the curb. Noticed a "60" on the display. Tried holding the throttle open but it would only crank over and had no signs of trying to start. Fortunately I have a Kendon trailer at the house, got the bike home and put it on the trickle charger while I went running.

This morning with a fully charged battery, the bike would start with a bit of throttle input but wouldn't keep running. I started it a few times, but it just won't hold an idle. I tightened down the Kaoko throttle lock and it runs fine until I release it.

Code 60 is related to the throttle servo motor I believe? Has anyone had similar issues and figured something out? I haven't been under the tank for 10k miles or more. I'm about due for the next valve adjust, but I'd like to go into it with a good running bike before adding a bunch of variables.

Perhaps the connector on the throttle body has wiggled loose or is dirty/corroded? I got a code 60 error and a no start situation when I forgot to plug this connector back in after a valve check service. First thing I would do is to make sure that connector is clean and fully clicked into place.

I saw a few people had issues with that after a valve check, but I have ridden almost 30k miles since the last check/adjust. I suppose it could be loose. I just started the bike again, it started right up and idled ok. Then it started to idle faster, up to about 3k for about 20 seconds....then the bike stalled out and died with a "60" on the screen again. 5 minutes later it started and idled again.

Was the bike subject to and/or has the wiring recall been completed?

~G
It should be on the recall list, I have not done it yet. When I first got the bike it had some idling issues, after I did the first valve adjustment I had no issues. Now that it's due for the next valve check I'm having issues again. I think I will get it scheduled for the recall before I do the valve check.
