Yep, not looking all that bad. Not perfect, but forecast does seem to be getting to be less and less of an issue.

This might by my last post until I get to Romney on Thursday afternoon at Romney. I've done all the additions and subtractions from the 3 sites and we at about 125 on the headcount.

Ride safe everyone. See you this weekend.

I really only meant that FRIDAY looked like it might be a washout. But I do see the forecast is varying, if not "improving".

Either way, I'm heading down Thursday and leaving Sunday!

Looming forward to seeing you again

You guys get lost? It's only 675 miles from Mark's place to Romney? Lol

Did the west and north portion (clockwise) of the KAT. Did some last year so I can pretty much say the ST has done it all.........Picked our way to WV Monday then the bottom let out. We must have rode 2 to 3 hrs in the POURING ass rain. It was bad, stopped twice under church pavilions. KInda hard to use the GPS when you can't see it.............

But we made nit here, 2 more days here then up to the event.

Yep, I've been honored to run sweep (follow) with these crazy guys all day. It's something I highly recommend!

Lots of reasons, but let me give just one.......
So we come storming around a corner and come across a huge tree that likely came down in yesterdays stormy winds.
Me, being from Texas, assumed that's the kind of obstacle that leads to backtracking and finding an alternate route. Right?
I mean look at it!

I stayed back by my bike as "the boys" get a closer look.

Next thing I know, trikepilot pulls out a 12" blade of some kind from Fancy.
Huh?
Look Harrison, it's a nice looking knife. But that'd a huge tree. Seriously?

They formed some kind of Tennessee-West Virginia-Mississippi lumberjack co-op and went to work.

Fascinating to watch.
I never seen anything like it.

At this point I could actually see the road on the other side.

I regret not taking a picture of the finished tunnel through the tree. It was a thing of sheer beauty!

I've said it before. The Super Tenere is ridden by some amazing folks.
And West Virginia is an amazing place to ride with them.

I've broken that part before. When you're not in expedient field repair mode... a new bracket is pretty inexpensive from Yamaha. I broke mine, and found that the replacement part was way more affordable than I had thought. I think it's less than 50 dollars IIRC.

Just for you Steve. :)

Trikepilot unveiled another day of seemingly unlimited tracks through the forest. All absolutely first-class. You know, those trails you can't take a Tenere on. Lol

The stretch this pic is from had 25 stream crossings alone. It was stunning riding.
Here's the guide himself perched on Fancy.

Jealous... sitting here working all week and missing out on these awesome trails and beautiful riding weather. Won't be to the campground until tomorrow night... Just in time for the Rain on Saturday. Rode through it last year, will deal with it again this year!

I have the bike packed and ready to go. Will be heading out in the morning. Ended up getting a room at the Microtel so the wife could come. On Saturday about what time will everyone be meeting back up at the dealership? I have a mild 175 mile route planned for Saturday and would like to be able to get back to meet and greet as many as possible before we turn in for the night at the hotel.

I'm glad my friend Snakebitten is enjoying this adventure together with an interesting group. Healthy envy. I keep waiting for the spare parts for the major surgery of my motorcycle.
Nice pictures.
Greetings to all from Santiago, Chile

Martin, my friend!
Wish you were here riding and getting to know these crazy gringos.
Then we could someday come to Chili and you could do the same.

Give me plenty warning for vacation. I am in.

(Running out of relatives senior enough to keep me from going.)
