Spluttering under high revs

It’s a 2011 bike with 56,000 miles, just on the last two rides it has started to splutter when under high revs, I.e pulling out to overtake, bit unnerving first time it happened, ride it sedately/sensibly and everything is fine.
Grateful for any pointers or words of wisdom……..
I was thinking it may be injectors? I have put some injector cleaner in the tank, just waiting to get back out on it and see what difference it makes, if any.
Thanks

You really need to check for codes first, available through the dash on a 2011 Gen1.

Seems like either fuelling or coil sticks to me, but there are many possibilities.

You are testing the former, with some injector cleaner. Otherwise I'm wondering whether you have water ingress to the coils, maybe after riding in heavy rain or jet washing the bike.

Tell us a bit more about the bike & it's service history. Problems so often relate back to the most recent service work.

Thanks for the comments, it has FSH dealer records from new, with the last service 12 months and 5k miles ago.
One of the last rides before the spluttering started was a very wet 4 day ride to the Scottish highlands through biblical rain.
Thanks

I’d go with post number 4 above. Set aside an hour or two and get to the plugs and coils, changing the air filter on the way.

Yep, answered your own question; frog strangler rain storm before being parked. Oops.

Mine was playing up and looks like the pump filter in the tank needs regular cleaning. Mine was full of rubbish at 57,000 Km.

Thanks for the reminder, I need to do this. Got the damn filter, should have done it last week when I had the tank up to do the valves.

Just a thought..... Only because you mentioned it was only on wet roadway and acceleration. You sure it wasnt traction control based on what you typed. Theres been times Ive forgotten to shut off TC off road and it acted exactly as you decribed when Ive grabbed throttle and accelerated hard.
