I recently installed some Skene LED break/tail lights. I have followed some friends who have these and really like how much more noticeable they make the bike. They have versions with and without a decelerometer. I chose the one without.

You will need to tap into the tail light, break light and ground wires. They are located under the seat, and under this protective panel. In order to remove this panel, you will also need to remove the seat lock mechanism. It will also be necessary to remove the plastic tail rack in order to run the wires.

I really appreciate you documenting this install process. I still have mine from my old bike not know quite how to install them. I think I'm going to trade in my controller for their new one.

Was just about to install mine from my old bike, figured I'd take a look, see if there was an install thread. Nice one.

To add:

I decided to install mine under the plate below the passenger seat. This meant removing the luggage rack and hand rails. Not really much work, two bolts each side for the racks, and four for the plate. Easy access then.

Traced the loom I needed from the connector that @airhead81 showed, and connected there. Fished the light wires up from the plate area, after drilling a small hole under the reflector to access behind the fender, then just followed the existing wires up under the seat.

Made the connections, tested, and buttoned it up.
