I use these for both of my bikes. Makes it easy to sling around your wrist when you stop and they don’t rattle (minus the additional helmet, luggage and disk lock keys on the Yamaha ring)

Well... soft things don't scratch up the area as much. And seasoned travelers don't put their bike key in a pocket, but clip it to the outside of their jacket when they are off the bike. That way you never have that age old problem of getting your gloves on and having your key buried in a pocket.

I'm a seasoned traveller and always put my keys as deep in my pocket as they will go ... I just take them out before I put my gloves on

I don't like the keys rattling around the ignition switch, I take the main key off, the others (panniers, house key) stay in my pocket. Blue key is an Ebay thing, I had ground at the key shop up the street.

I love the old school leather rectangle dealerships used to give out. They all moved to these "figher jet" pull tabs now, and that's just not my thing. At the same time, it seems odd continuing to use my 15 year old leather one from a dealer I haven't purchased a bike from in 10 years.

I have a couple of 3D printers for hobby related things, and I recently started using TPU or flexible material. This stuff is really neat, so of course I've been tinkering with key fob ideas. This is one I'm working on, which I intend to print in 2 colours, but this one is just pressed onto an ink pad to blacken the design a little.Yes, it's using 2 small zip ties to fasten the loop portion, but the intent is to use a metal rivet, just like a leather one.
