Service Manual Recommendations for 2019 Super Tenere ES

I just bought my 2019 Super Tenere ES Friday. I have always performed my own routine maintenance and some more complicated service projects on my other bikes. I like to have a shop manual that I can refer to, but they vary in quality. Does anyone have any suggestions for this bike. The only one that I see online is this one: [CONTENT DELETED - CW] But, there are no reviews on it at the site.

Will the 2018 suffice for the 2019? If anyone has used this manual, I would appreciate their feedback.

Thanks.

The 2018 will work perfect for your 2019. If you can swing it a paper manual is easier to work with.

It is the same from 2014. If you look closely at the third page they give as an example, you will see that the menu access to the “diag” menu appears .... in 2018, there is no access to that menu via dash buttons. Get a free one from 2014, you won't even find significant differences

And the last page “wiring diagram 2014l??

Doesn't matter what country you are writing from, the forum needs to follow US copyright law so don't post links to illegitimate sources.

I appreciate the direction. However, there was no indication to me that this was an illegitimate source......that was the purpose of asking about it was to see if anyone else had any experience with this manual. There was no indication to me anywhere on the site who the original publisher was and it looked legitimate from everything that I could see. I do not wish to ever violate any laws from any countries, but asking about whether a particular manual is worthy of purchase is not violating any law. Posting the link was the only way that I knew to make sure that everyone knew what manual I was referring to. Sorry for the trouble. - JS

Can't the Mods get together and review the possible, legit manual sources out there and post? I just purchased a barely used 2013 ST and need the shop manual. Electronic or paper, makes no difference. In the meantime, would appreciate a heads up to where I can find one. Cheers all!

Why? There are no legitimate sources of CD manuals except Yamaha, and they generally only sell the CD version to dealers. So, if you find a CD version, it's an illegal copy. @JJTJ2 posted the link to the Yamaha manual store. Your dealer can also order you one. Used ones sometimes show up on the forum or ebay. Beware of photo copies in binders instead of bound originals.

Edit - Sorry, Welcome to the forum @Northof60 . Please take a moment to add your location to your profile. It gives context to your posts and allows others to better answer any questions you may have since bikes are different from EU to US to CAN to California.

There were a couple authentic ones on EBay just the other day. I got a fantastic deal on one shipped to my house.

If you do decide on the printed version they do fall apart quickly. I have learned as soon as the pages start separating to drill and zip tie them like a binder.

Like EricV wrote, the only one we know of that won't violate the copyright law is from Yamaha, and this is a topic they do not mess around with.

Besides, you can double our pay for the hours we spend here and it'll still be squat.

I am finally looking to buy a paper copy of the service manual but none of the sources say if there is a different manual for the ES and the non-ES version.
Can I assume there is only one version?

There are minor differences, and then there are major differences. Motor's the same, but suspension is completely different. So, make sure you get the right one.

EDIT: misread it. Probably one manual. There will be sections with specific applicability. Just like automobile manuals.

For the years that Yamaha produced an ES and non-ES version of the bike, both versions are covered in the same service manual. I have a 2014 service manual, and both versions of the bike are in it.
