Hi, my name's Ross, from Penrith. I'd greatly appreciate a recommendation regarding an honest, reliable and experienced Yamaha Centre for my stock standard '16 Yellow ES's 10,000 km service - including the installation & balancing of a new set of supplied tyres (namely, Motoz Tractionator GPS) and hopefully an airscrew adjustment to potentially fix the off idle stumble and throttle body sync. Cheers.

I do all my own servicing - so canot coment on shop servicing.
but I would hit up Trooper Lu's Garage in Moorebank... why because they built a custom S10 a few years ago so they seem to know the bike.

Gigitt, sincere thanks for your reply. My ST's out of warranty so it arguably doesn't have to be serviced by a Yamaha Dealer. In turn, I'll sound out Trooper Lu's in Moorebank.....here's hoping they're ok.

Stay away from APW in Brookvale, I collected the bike and had to take it back the next day, the "mechanic" didn't tighten the steering nut and it came loose while riding!

Hi guys, the bike has developed a stumble and I "think" I've traced it to the 1st cylinder and noted that the ignition coils has corroded considerably.

Any idea where I can order ingnition coils from for less than the fortune that Yamaha Aus wants to charge?

I also do all my own services and fit my own tyres in Sydney. 10,000km is a minor service but they do lift the tank (or say they do) so they charge more than what you would think. If you have to go to a dealer, its a crapshoot, but you can not go too far wrong with a minor service. Just get them to tell you what they are doing up front and check the oil afterwards, inexperienced mechanics tend to over-fill because of the dry sump. And check your spokes yourself, they will probably not do that.
