I deadlift mine with my butt on the seat but i have also lifted harleys like this (chest to seat) when the bags made it hard to get the preferred hold. Both work awesome

I don't see any reason that it won't work. His contraption reminds me of those "forearm forklifts". I have those, and they work fantastic. Same principal, straps over you shoulders, and lift with the legs. These are the exact ones I have. I've used them numerous times. All the way up to an 850lb safe. One strap would be all that you would need. Adjust it down, run it through the crashbars, and/or grab rails, and stand up just like the guy in the video. Less moving parts with these too.

Don't lift, rock and push. Frontwards or with your butt.
