This doesn't read this way, but I thought I'd mention that the coil wires and the injector wires can accidentally be interchanged with each other.

UPDATE : removed and dissected fuel pump, all o rings are fine, filter a bit dirty, so I changed it for a new one, Removed tip over sensor and replaced it with the tip over sensor from my Superduke 990 , put every single thing back together, added 5 liters of fresh gas, have NOID lights on stand by to check it if it doesn't turn on, cranked it......and BOOM

IT'S ALIVEEEEE!!!! :D, idles just fine, revs just fine, let it get up to temp, turn it off, back on, and off, and on and off again, all good

changed back the OEM tip sensor, and it fired right up as if nothing has ever happened

Cam chain seems a bit noisy, but coming from KLR and DRZ it sounds normal :D

it bothers me, that I don't know why it did this, that I'm not certain WHY it didn't want to start before, so I'll be keeping a close eye on iffi little things and take notice of them

So now that it's working, I'll be sending my ECU to get reflashed, check the valves meanwhile, update de CCT to a 2014 and up module ( is there a specific part number for this? or just the regular one and it will be updated? ) TB Sync, yada yada yada o_O

Thank you all for your inputs on the matter, will keep you posted if all goes to hell again :Do_Oo_O

Saludos from Tijuana, Mexico

Evil W - The CCT part number is updated automatically by Yamaha, however it's 2BS-12210-01, that's what it was in late July when mine was done. Probably worth getting a new gasket as well, might not use it, but for very little cost have it there just in case.

Great to hear. I suspect you had a minor issue, but fixed it w/o realizing it when you did your various disassembly and cleaning, so when you put it all back together, no issues.

I hope you don't have a repeat of hard starting! Ride and enjoy.

Just my $0.02, but I'd hold off with all the major maintenance and mods until you ride the bike a while and let it settle into a patter of good reliability. I would make sure the airbox is correctly sorted (and properly sealing against dirt ingress) and all the hardware is in place to properly secure the tank. (Twice dealers cross-threaded the tank bolts while I had mine.) Things like ECU flashes, CCT swaps, and the valve check can all wait. Just ride the thing for awhile doing basic maintenance and let things settle so you don't introduce new issues on top of potential old ones. And you'll get to know the bike.... your list of mods you feel are needed may change as you do.

I've been using it daily, no hiccups, no hard starts at all (even tried to replicate them on purpouse), I'll be visiting the National Astronomical Observatory of Sierra San Pedro Martir this weekend :

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Astronomical_Observatory_(Mexico)

I'm at sea level and the Observatory is 9200ft above, it's a 10 hour round way trip, so I'll be putting the S10 to the test, will let you guys know how it goes

by the way, ended up ordering a manual CCT, I have one in my DRZ400 and had one in my KLR250 and they work just fine, thanks for all your tips :)

EricV : I don't know how minor it was that it had me pulling my hairs, BUT I will find out what it was ( thinking the fuel pump filter was part of the problem, was veeery dirty ) fuel starvation was the issue, by the time I got the Noid lights to test the injector, the S10 fired right up :p , dastarly S10 :D:D:D

MY 2013 will turn over but not start. I suspect the fuel injector are not opening because plugs are dry. I opened up fuel pump as you have and cant see and dirt. Is the tea bag style filter was clean on the outside but I am not sure if dirty on the inside. How can you tell if fuel injectors are clogged?
