Rob, are you looking for flat, black plastic 2mm sheets? I have some although it may be a little too stiff for your needs, however, I shall look up where I had mine from and post it on here for you.

Just buy a cheap, black plastic, square or rectangle trash-bin............Like the kind you'd use in the kitchen or the garage, and cut it up however you need.
They are usually $5-$10 and will provide plenty of thin plastic for whatever you need.
I have two of them in the garage that I have been cutting out various things from.
I usually just use tin-snips, but I sometimes use a razor-knife.

You can get a small one for $3

Hi Rob, I don’t know if this is suitable, it’s 1mm thick
Just been looking at HIPS on ebay from a place in Wrexham. Sounds like the perfect material for this as it's a thermoplastic which you can heat up with a hot air paint stripping blower and mould it to shape (within reason) and it seems cheap enough. I like the waste bin idea too!

Very nice, something I had been thinking of. Do you by any chance have a CAD file, DXF or whatever? I might like to lower the top lip about 3/4 inch. And if I have DXF I can shoot it over to a buddy with a large format printer. I can PM my email address. Thanks!

Effectively directs air over hands to upper arm. Made from 1/16" black ABS textured 1 side material (matches material used for dash in-fill plate) fastened to oem hand guard via stainless hardware, hole location will vary as per your preference, 2' x 4' stock ($8) is enough material for 3 extensions.

I just went to the local plastic guy and they were great but I think just getting that bucket would be just as easy if there is no manufacturer around. This place was about a 10 minute drive from my house, I believe it was the 2mm stuff that I got. I had a hard time with the pattern that they showed, just could not get it to fit correctly so I ended up just cutting up a couple of cardboard boxes and making my own pattern and then copying that on to the plastic and cutting it out. To fasten it I used 2 sided Velcro tape so that I can take it off in the summer.

I was thinking the same thing. I have actually use a waste basket several times to make cold guards for a couple of cruiser bikes. Works well.

Having a pair printed, forget where I saw a posting for files to 3D print them facebook group?). I think the pattern here might be a little more robust, but the printed version will not require fasteners showing, I think. We will see. It is blowing sleet and wet crap outside right now- I have a while to work it out!
