Just pour it in, and don't get it on the paint. When it's full put the cap back on. Don't try and do a race track full just let the coolant trickle in and it will be fine. If there is air in there it will work it's way through. Just top up the overflow if you need to after a few rides.

There are two bolts. You take out the lower one, the one with the spout, and this happens...Is this what you are talking about?

I'll try and find a better one..back in a minute

Here you go...

GramhamD you are my hero. Thank you very much.

This process "Remove left side fairing (gain access to radiator cap), remove radiator cap, remove coolant drain bolt on water pump (forward and low on water pump). To be thorough, you also want to drain the coolant recovery tank which basically involves unbolting it and fetching it out from under the seat. - Mark" and the pictures are much helpful. Exactly what I was looking for. Again much appreciated.

Anyone know what diameter crush ring is on the water pump drain bolt?
Unless it is damaged, it's just a flat copper washer that can be re-used, not a crushable one time use style. It's there to save the threads if you over tighten the bolt, not seal it against fluid loss.
