Rotopax and soft bags idea

Project in the work. I wanted to switch to soft bags and came up with an idea to mount them over my rotopax 1 gallon water and gas can. I used EMT for the braces.


Planning on getting rid of the hose clamp and just useing a pin, the rotopax will hold the pin in place.

It's been a good winter project...more to come!

@dirtdoug - You're a former KLR owner, aren't you?

A couple of thoughts; Perhaps a layer of inner tube glued to the underside of your hangers. It will help minimize vibration and keep a little more of the paint on those mating parts. Second, some type of cross brace would be a Good Idea™. It will help avoid the weight of the soft bags pushing the mounts inboard with the jolts of off pavement riding.
