Rotopax and soft bags idea

Project in the work. I wanted to switch to soft bags and came up with an idea to mount them over my rotopax 1 gallon water and gas can. I used EMT for the braces.KIMG0030.JPG

Planning on getting rid of the hose clamp and just useing a pin, the rotopax will hold the pin in place.

@dirtdoug - You're a former KLR owner, aren't you? ;)

A couple of thoughts; Perhaps a layer of inner tube glued to the underside of your hangers. It will help minimize vibration and keep a little more of the paint on those mating parts. Second, some type of cross brace would be a Good Idea™. It will help avoid the weight of the soft bags pushing the mounts inboard with the jolts of off pavement riding.

KLR owner........maybe! Here in Alaska we call these DIY jobs "Bush job".
