It's just a little more than 3 weeks, so time to get a better idea of the headcount. Over the months we've had more than 40 people say there were possibly going to attend. Now we need to let Romney Cycles know how many they should prepare to host. I've pasted the "possible" headcount below. Please post here to confirm you are still planning to attend. I'll make the updates below. If you have no idea what I'm talking about click here to see the info on the event. Then join us.

It will also be helpful to know your plans and interest. Post up if you're planning to camp vs motel, and if you are interested in the twisty pavement group ride, the dirt road group ride, or non-group.

Dirt group ride

Looks like keeponriding and I are leaving Thursday for a leisurely ride across the mountains. Might even bring some Kentucky sipping whiskey.

Not sure yet if I will arrive late Friday or early Saturday.

I am up for an easy dirt ride, nothing too challenging.

BTW, if they are good with me bringing my RV, I can probably provide sleeping room for a couple of folks. PM me if interested.

Talked to Kevin (the owner) this morning. He's fine with the RV.

johnpitts01 - As far as "easy dirt" not sure what to tell you just yet. Heading out this weekend to workout the course. There are already a few things I'm expecting to encounter that may not be viewed as "easy" dirt. I plan to take pictures/video of the things that could be considered challenging. I'm hoping that will help people decide what ride is best for them.

Quick update for everyone. Due to popular demand there will be a second pavement/dirt ride added. thfraser (Tom) will be leading the other pavement/dirt ride.

Checkswrecks (Bob) and I were out this past weekend researching our rides. Tom will be out between now and the event checking his ride. If you are planning to do one of the three group rides please check the corresponding thread.

Pavement: http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=7833.0

Tom - If you have anything you want to say about your ride please feel free to add any notes to the thread above.

I do hope to be publishing a few routes for those who decide they want to explore on their own.

Less than 3 weeks to go. ::012::

Ok dirtdad...

Switch me to the easy dirt ride. I want me and the bike to have fun!
No worries. We'll work it all out when we are there. If too few people are interested in a technical ride I'll drop those sections and will also do an easy dirt ride. Won't bother me a bit. I've already ridden the technical stuff, so I'm perfectly happy going either way.

D.D.

I'm beginning to worry if I'm going to be able to make the trip :'( . I started working some construction work this summer (after being retired 3 years) to help support my habit of spending money on the S10 and finance the trip to Alaska this summer. Our project is running a little behind, so I may need to work  As you're aware that is my home area, so I was looking forward to this trip.

I'll keep you posted. ::010::

Alan, hope you can make it, but certainly do understand the need to make Tenere dollars.
