I am NOT coming.
Broke the radius in my left arm a week ago while riding my mountain bicycle.
In the parking lot at the trailhead.
A woman in a car backed into me.
Bummer.
Will miss 6 weeks minimum of bicycling and motorcycling.

Sorry to hear about your injury. That really sucks. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Five days and counting. At the moment the forecast looks fantastic.

Everyone will be arriving whenever it works for them. Here's what happened last year...

Those of us who were at the site by 6:00pm on Friday went to town for dinner. Had Italian at Marios. Nice place very convenient and right across the street from the Sheetz gas station, which was a good place to fill up and purchase some beverages for the evening.

Here is a list of restaurants in Romney: Romney Restaurants

We only had one ride group on Saturday last year and we all went to Shirley's Diner for breakfast, then left directly from there by 9:15am. We returned to Romney Cycle at 5:45pm and went into the dealership for a dinner.

I anticipate the schedule will workout to be something similar this year...or maybe not.

It looks like there are still a few who want to stay on pavement, so I'm going to have a couple of road route sheets available and hope to post them before Friday.

If she can get free, my lady won't be able to arrive till Saturday afternoon and was wondering if (how many) any other female types would be there. Anybody?

My wife will be coming. I doubt she wants to spend all day riding. We'll be bringing up our RV rig, so they can have a place to "talk"! :D

We will be up there sometime Friday evening. We will probably miss the dinner as we will be pulling out around 5pm from my place. And Romney is a few hours away.

Well, I'm not going to make it this time :'( Too many irons in the fire at the moment. Have a great weekend and I'll catch up with "youns" somewhere down the road. Make sure to hoist a few at the fire for me!

Sorry to hear it, Jon. Best of luck to you and the family on all the "irons" you have going on this weekend. We'll tip a few for you.

Sounds like it's gonna be a great weekend guys, sorry I can't be there but just to prove I'm thinking of you, I wore the shirt today...

And although I'm going to miss Kasey at the diner, I won't miss her THAT much. This sweetheart was manning the free coffee station near the end of my ride to Manizales today.

Look forward to the ride reports and pics. Sounds like Bob and Jon have some great routes worked out!

It's that Aussie charm. Get's 'em every time. You remember what it's like sitting in a restaurant with Trevor, all the ladies want to know..."what's that accent?"

We'll miss you Trevor. Our leader is somewhere around the world on his motorcycle, meeting women. Sounds like a good life.

All packed up and ready to go. I know we had a few from Canada, Kentucky, Virginia and probably others already hit the road today.

Talked to Larry (general manager) at Romney this evening. They have setup the showers, made dinner plans for Saturday and will have a coffee and electrical charging station setup by tomorrow. He seemed pretty excited to have everyone show-up. Sounds like there will be an additional few people attending from the dealership's advertising of the event. He told me about a motorcycle rider from the Tour de France who is probably coming to learn about the Tenere. So maybe our bike will get some TV time in the race this year.

Ride safe everyone. See you this weekend.

Chris, I don't expect to have an answer to that until we are all staring into a warm fire with a cold one in our hands the evening. That's when we can figure out of there are enough people interested, and how much of the 230 mile course do people want to do. The 7:00am depart for breakfast version, or the 8:00am depart for breakfast version. I'm just a tour guide and will be perfectly happy doing any of the courses I've loaded into the GPS.

What time do you plan to get there?

I told Larry I was going to try to be there around 4:00.
