Riser and windshield options

i finally got a Super Tenere ES a couple months back. Been wanting one for years and found a used one with a lot of the accessories I planned to buy already installed, but after riding it the last couple months I’ve determined a larger windshield and some risers would definitely help With comfort. I did flatten out the seat by removing the rear rubber stops and leaving the bracket in the high setting with rear tongue in the low. Helped a lot but still want a little less reach and more wind protection. I’m 5‘11 and other than the seat mod nothing else has changed from stock that would effect the ergonomics.

I’ve been looking at the Rox 2” and Heli bars. I’ve seen a little bit about them in the forum but not a whole lot comparing the two. Also considering a vstream windshield but not sure what size to go with. Open to other options too. Would really love to hear what some more experienced tenere folks recommend.

Anyway I love my new bike. It’s everything I was hoping for. Coming from a 2007 vstar 1300 which I put 66k miles on. Love that bike too but there really is no comparison. 8E00B0FA-B4F9-4CE7-851F-AED6EF198A5A.jpeg

I am 6’4” tall and run the tall 24” VStream…..I have it in the low position and if I were to do it again the medium size would have been a better choice for adjustment. I also have 1” risers from a Turkish seller on EBay…..look and fit great. I doubt that 2” Rox risers will fit without releasing some cables or hoses…it will be pretty tight lock to lock.

I'm 5'-10" ish with a longer torso. Sport touring (medium) VStream works great in the low position. I rarely raise the screen and I'm happy with the coverage, even down into the 20's. Since we're here to help you spend more $$$ (;)) consider adding side wind deflectors. They are a nice improvement for air management.

5'10" and the heli risers worked great for me with the seat flattening rubbers installed - never used the rox but just not fussy on the 2 piece install (JMO) As for windscreen, I'm shorter than you and besides - I like the wind - 'silly like that ;)

I'm 5'10" and use the stock screen with a spoiler attached, I've also added winglets and mirror extenders (these are cheap and help reduce turbulence). I went for Touratech risers, easy to fit there's no need to extend brake lines etc.

Hello and welcome, screens are a very personal thing, but I have a Givi Airflow on my 2017 S10 and it is all the screen I could ever need. It’s not the prettiest screen you can buy, (I think the Vstream takes that crown), but it is probably the best. Handsome is as handsome does as Forest Gump once said.

Finally got around to installing the Heli Riser my wife got me for Christmas. I’m pretty happy with them and the install was pretty simple even with extending the brake line with the extension they provided. Going to order the medium vstream N20320 windscreen this week. Now I just need to figure out the seat. Was hoping I’d get used to it but haven’t yet. I tried the flat seat mod on the high setting but prefer the low setting so maybe I’ll try to flatten it for the low. Guess I got too used to the Mustang seat on my vstar 1300 over the years. Thanks all for the help. Now To finish up these projects around the house so I can do some longer rides. Ride safe everyone.

I had the medium sized VStream on my 2018 using the Corbin seat and the windshield was great.
But then I bought a RDL rider day long seat which is about an inch taller so the medium windshield became a little to short allowing to much wind so I switched to the taller VStream . I have always used the Yamaha Winglets but have tried it a couple times without them and think they are well worth the extra investment. Another good investment is those windshield braces that another forum member makes and sells, they kind of keep everything from being able to flex so much.
