Hi all,

This is Eric from Colorado. While I don't have one yet, I am considering a Super Tenere! I test rode one a few years back and liked it but back then I had an F650GS thumper and F800GS twin and didn't need another dual sport... That was also back in Florida.

I've scaled down my collection to just an NC700x, which is great for me, but my girlfriend and I are taking longer and longer trips and she really doesn't like the back seat on that one. So I've been looking for a touring bike with a nice back seat but really can't get into the Harleys or Goldwings, I like dirty back roads too much!

I'm hoping to find one to test ride two-up to see if this option is even viable. If you guys have any input, I'm all ears!

Welcome to the forum.

The wife had a F650GS twin for 110k, and I've ridden the F800GS twin a bit. Compared to those bikes the Super Ten has better brakes and more power, a bit more room for the pillion and with a custom seat, backrest or top box w/pad and possibly lower pegs, she will likely enjoy that space more.

I don't have any experience with the NC700X. You might want to consider bikes like the R1200RT, FJR and Concourse 14 in the Sport Touring class if you mostly stick to gravel roads and pavement. I put 160k on my '04 FJRa and it was very comfortable off pavement with the right tires.

Welcome aboard. There's a lot of discussion about 2-up that you can find with the search function here.

Hey all,

I am in Arvada, CO, basically Denver. I've been lurking a lot about passenger info the past few weeks but just noticed the new member threads...
The Concours 14 is another one of my favorites to ride, so that is on the list of potentials.

My wife and I, combined, put the load at/near the 450lb G.V.W.R. of the bike. It still handles well in the corners. If you're going to do a lot of two-up riding, I would recommend the ES for ease of adjustability.
