While riding the Moab Slickrock I jumped off a small ledge and my right foot peg snapped off of the bike.

Anybody have any good suggestions for an aftermarket replacement? Not really interested in pivot pegs.

I have a barely used Fastway extra wide set of pegs (red) and a enlarged Wonderlich shifter that works well together for sale. If you stand and ride they are nice. $500 cost in both will sell for $300.

The Tusk pegs, available from Rocky Mountain and intended for the KLR650, I've heard are a direct fit to the Super Terere and only cost about $65.
If they do fit, the price is certainly good. $64.95/pair. LINK Out of stock, but expected back shortly.

2018 take offs for $39.78 shipped.

It depends on what you're looking for. If you removed the rubber inserts from your OEM pegs and want more agressive pegs, FastWay or, if they do fit, the Tusk pegs certainly fit that need. FastWay pegs offer a high or low mounting ability too, which taller riders might like. EVO III

IMS Adventure II IMS has different styles too. Main IMS Yamaha section. You might need to double check what fits the Super Ten though. Rally , Adventure I

Touratech Long Distance Footpegs $112.62

Super Cheap $12.95 Wide footpegs or Black version for $10.96

Stainless Steel China Cheapies $19.70

Yamaha OEM replacement $75+9.78 S&H (ebay complete peg w/rubber)

OEM new footrest only P/N 23P-27461-00-00 only $24.01 from PartShark Item # 26 for the RH.

I highly recommend the OEM pegs. I learned early on that the aftermarket ones will damage the tabs welded to the frame in a simple tip over.

Pivot Pegz are leg breakers. If you do any kind of standing you lose balance and control. I only have experience using them when standing. If you are a sit down rider then maybe.....

I’m going to give the tusk ones a try. I really liked the oem ones, until it broke. Looking at it broken, there isn’t much strength there. The oem ones seem pretty light weight. 4D826F43-1471-4B57-96E0-685AED099652.jpeg84D09975-32A3-4E56-A349-4D42C46B45E9.jpeg

Hi there Mak10, the OEM ones are designed to break. Otherwise you will damage the frame. Or worse yet rip the welded tab off the frame.

You know what, I would believe that if I had crashed, hit something, or something of the sort. I didn’t. I’m not a heavy guy either. I do ride aggressively off road.

I call this a design flaw. I don’t believe it was engineered to do this. If you know the engineer pm me his number. I have a few things to discuss with him.

Have you ever dropped your bike on that side? I’m thinking it was already fatigued. I was running the IMS Adventure pegs on mine and tweaked both sides of tabs when dropping the bike. It was a pain to repair. Bent the pins and ended up using a cut off wheel and welder to repair.

What is the seller smoking on the price of the used OEM Ebay peg?

OEM: https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/oem-schematic/2 #26 for $25.83 new. #27 for the rubber $8.49

Replaced my left side recently due to a drop (used the old peg and rubber). Would consider aftermarket, but looking at a new bike, so not worth the money.

Re-sellers sometimes base their prices on frequency of sales. Wrecking yards do this a lot. If they keep selling the same item, the price goes up due to perceived demand. Several times I caught wrecking yards out as having higher prices than buying the new part. I usually told them, and suggested what I'd pay for the used part. Mostly that got me a better price. Or I just bought the new part and let the used vendor figure it out on their own. ;)
