I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide.
I recently purchased spokes from inmate. Payed via PayPal on 12/12/19
Inmate is not replying to any of my pms since I payed him . Now I have no spokes or the $24 that I payed for
Any suggestions
16 days from the transaction no replies no spokes no money luckily it is not expensive transaction
Is there a place to report such things on the forum?

Post in the thread where you bought them if you haven't already so that others do not buy from him!

As somebody who used to travel a lot and for long periods on 2 hour notice, I'd also recommend waiting till the world is a week or two past the holidays. For example, a bunch of my friends just launched to Kazakhstan and I'm going to guess that either they don't have internet or were only allowed to take "clean*" phones and computers, which we don't use for any personal use. The seller may also have had an unplanned hospital visit.

* Because it is so normal and expected to have some countries try to copy drives and/or install malware, clean devices are electronics issued for that one trip and then completely wiped before the next use.

If no good comes, please let AvGeek or I know.

Great service OldRider
Sorry if I caused confusion and misunderstanding
For most of us world doesn’t stop spinning just because there are holidays;)
Thanks again OldRider and happy new year

It's entirely possible that the member selling spokes has been involved in some unavoidable disaster that prevents him from fulfilling an order, and that would certainly be bad, but I totally get r1100r's frustration. Back in the days before Paypal, I got ripped off for $150.00 for some motorcycle gear from someone online, and it started the same way this did: lots of emails and phone calls that never got answered. Barring being in a coma in the hospital, there's nothing that stops a person from putting an auto response on their email that basically says something along the lines of "family emergency, shipping orders has been delayed for X amount of time, sincerest apologies", or something to that effect. I've never been anywhere in the US that I couldn't access my email in some manner or another, especially over a 16 day period, and even during the hectic holidays it doesn't take more than a couple minutes to at least set up an auto response.

If you're going to take someone's money for something you're selling, then you're entering into a contract, and that involves both trust and obligation (especially when you're buying something from a guy you only know as an online handle). If I was in the OP's shoes, after two weeks of no response, I'd be getting pretty testy myself, holidays or not.

I think almost a month now with zero replies from the seller rates both a complaint to the mods and contact with Paypal to initiate the steps for a refund.

All's I know is that I'm so grateful that OldRider was selling these before I ever purchased my Super Tenere. That was reason to check my spokes after each and every ride. I sure do hope you get this resolved at some point.

So he finally pm me with the lame apologies bunch of bs if you ask me
This is what he wrote

Graduated from engineering school on Dec 14, in the two weeks preceding that I'd bought a fifth wheel and a truck, spent every hour I wasn't studying for finals patching leaks on the budget camper and redoing wiring/flooring in it. This is to live like broke-ass while I pay back student loan. FOllowing 2 days more of this repair work after graduation I loaded all of my belongings into it and was going to Moab, UT with some friends. On the way the trans blew in the truck. Not to be dissuaded we threw my brothers and mine shit into their vehicles and pressed on with the other trucks, trailers, and dirtbikes. A few weeks in MOAB left me 3 days before my job started on the other side of the state to swap a transmission. The swap occurred during a blizzard in the road ditch near where my trans blew, this was not so bad since the tow vehicle has a van chassis but I'd still never changed a transmission. By the grace of god a friend had a spare c6 sitting around with the right tail shaft that swapped directly. Then my new job as a process engineer started and I've been slurping on that information firehose for the last month while chasing gremlins associated with living in a 5th wheel and playing videogames.

In the midst of all that I had completely forgotten this and the email associated with this site that notifications go to was my school email, which I havent had access to since Dec.14.

I forgot, it was my bad. Sorry.

Quick translation: "Every other event and commitment was more important to me than the one where I took your money and didn't deliver your product that you paid for."

Maybe I lack understanding, but a drawn out tale of BS like that in response to this sort of situation would make me more angry, not less. The big question is, did you get your money back?

I particularly like the “playing video games” excuse. In the end he still didn’t offer a solution. Doesn’t even sound like he owns a motorcycle.
