Rear Brake Fluid Protection

The Rear Brake Fluid Container Protection plate attaches underneath the rear sub frame to make sure the rear brake keeps functioning properly. This protects the reservoir and under tail from flying rocks and other road/off-road debris that may be kicked up.

This was one of the early farkles I purchased for my 2012. Installed it and was never concerned for the rear brake reservoir.

This is not needed for the 2014+ ES. Not sure about the 2014+ Standard.

You are correct. From what I understand and what Hepco & Becker explained, the standard 2014 model can use this protection plate, and the ES does not need it.

No but you could have it powder coated relatively inexpensively.

These threads are killing me..mosre specifically my pocket book..that was one of the pieces that really spooked me out how vulnerable it looks to damage. Ordered this and was shipped quickly ::021::

Even cheaper than powder coating, you could easily spray paint it...though the finish would come off easier than if you had it powder coated.

Satin black rattle can and 0000 steel wool when dry makes it look factory.
