Hi folks, Been a while out and about on other brands and just had my last affair with BMW (S1000XR) which nearly shook my dentures out. They're buying it back! At the end of it I will have a wad of cash so weighing up my options. Second is the way to go I feel as most of the depreciation has gone out of it buy the time its 2yr old. S10Z ES would be the choice but saying that is the ES worth the extra. I'm prepared to travel around the UK to get one as here in the Channel Islands we have nothing.

Hello and welcome (again), I became the owner of a 2017 Super Ten last August after considering the ES vs non-ES bike. In the end,it was price, condition and mileage that proved to be the criteria for me and as I only ride solo nowadays, the ES became a little irrelevant for me. I am over 3000 miles in now and I don’t regret my choice of a non-ES bike. Plenty of nice examples for sale around the U.K. I used Autotrader to find mine, so good luck with your search.

Welcome back from the dark side. ;) I personally would, and did, go with the ES. And, from what I understand, isn't the difference between the two models more apparent in the UK than the US. With y'alls weather, OE heated hand grips would be on MY list. My two cents.

Hi there and welcome sir!! I would highly recommend the ES. The convenience of adjusting the suspension on the fly is really nice.

Thanks for the welcome back folks and your opinions are appreciated. Been through Autotrader a few times now and so far the one at the top of my list is a grey 2016 ES at Bennetts with Givi pannier frames and touring screen. Seams like it has all the latest Tenere gizmos and the best price out of all the 2016 bikes around. Anyone in the area know the bike?

Whilst I don't know the bike, it looks very tidy & I see Bennetts have been advertising it since July 2018. Given you have a settlement from BMW to spend, so presumably no trade-in, there has to be a nice deal for you at this time of the year. Maybe start around £8k?

Have fun - plenty more around from time to time. Get a good ES/ZE if you can; some dealers don't know the difference, so in the past we have seen micro miles ex-demo ES bike at around £10k.
