hey guys, what are you all using to mount your Zumo GPS? I have it on my FJR using a ram mount bolted to the triple clamp. I need to use it on my S-10 and don't want it on the handlebars, I have my phone mount there and heated grip controls already. Thanks in advance

The bar behind the windscreen. I added some brackets to brace it a bit. I have a Ram ball on my riser also. Sometimes my phone goes there. You really want to get screwed up? Use two GPS at once. Even better, let your wife use her iPhone, while you use a Zumo. Just how strong is your marriage?

I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide.
I have my GPS on one of these on my windshield bar. Its 10$ and awesome would have been happy paying 3x that much for it. Ive been using it for a few months now. I have a Nuvi 1350 so check those specs against what GPS you have.

Sorry I don't have a picture handy but you can see it in my video here (and watch the guy in front of me almost kill someone). Its that then my TPMS and then my phone (on a ram X) all mounted on the madstad windshield bar

I had mine in a Ram mount for years and it worked fine. Mounted next to the left mirror. I just recently changed it to a Touratech mount on a bar that bolts to the handlebar clamps. Using the Touratech locking mount I feel better about running into a store or restaurant and leaving the GPS on the bike .For long periods away I still remove it.

You said you didn’t want the gps on the handlebar because your heated grip control is already there, but I used the provided Zumo mount on the handlebar then attached the Oxford controller to it. I like having the the gps close to my left hand for quick access, and while riding it is in focus with the reading portion of my eyeglasses.2B976FF8-3E21-4D53-8BF7-BE1E1795544F.jpeg

On my 2012, I used the RKA tank bag that has the mounting plate. Had my Montana and Sena SR10 there, with all of the power connections in the box in the bag. It was very easy to disconnect the tank bag (3 clips and 1 electrical connection) to secure my stuff when walking away.

Realize you said you don’t want to mount on handlebars but this is what I’m using to mount my Zumo 595.

i prefer not to monkey with the GPS while riding but occasionally I will to find a gas station or something simple. This simple bolt makes it very easy to rest hand on tankbag while monkeying with GPS.
At first I used a clamp type u bolt to hold the Ram ball and Zumo but because the Zumo is so heavy it didn’t stay in place very well so later switched to the single bolt and it has never moved at all. It’s cheap easy and flawless !

I removed the screen bracketry from my Gen 2 so that I could fit a Givi AirFlow screen. This meant I lost the Sat Nav bar

My solution was a SW Motech Screen Sat Nav Holder which can also be used on a Gen 1

This is also what I used on my 2012 bike and 2015 bike. Like Mike, I did not have the adjuster or bar on the Gen II. The SW Motech unit isn't cheap, but it has a quick release to remove the GPS if you want to take it inside and it's decent quality with minimal vibration. I installed a ram ball and a short extension to move it higher when I was using it on my Gen II with a 7" Garmin dezl 760. With the Zumo you should still be able to see your turn signals w/o resorting to that.

SW Motech Anti Vibe Mount $70 if you're not in a hurry from Twisted Throttle, (back order). Normally $85.

I use the Touratech mount as well. I also use the extension so I can see the dash. It's lockable so it's impossible to quickly steal the GPS without extensive damage to the bike. Touratech is the gold standard for the very best quality of almost everything they produce. 6407BB9E-19CA-43D0-9BA2-BCD8E6F58922.jpeg8D140C7C-F6A2-4644-AFC2-09997F743223.jpeg

Mine is mounted on the windscreen mount brace. I use the RAM Torque mount and it's rock solid.
