Hi Members,

I'm a new member here. located in Dubai, here is my 16. i love everything about the bike except the flat spots in rpm range amd how sleepy is the touring while sport is snatchy. Im happy riding it but i beleive it's the current settings are ruining the overall comfort and performace.

ive came across this product, Rapid bike which i was promised that it will enhance and smoothen the overall performance with money back garauntee. They say with the controller i can switch the traction on the fly etc with plenty of more settings. It's bloody expensive. Has amyone tried it ?20181216_200224.jpg

I noticed they have two products for the Super Tenere, one is called "racing" and the other "evo" claims/descriptions for both units and what they do seem similar. The "racing" one costs $100 more and says for off-road use only and I think defeats the red line limit (which does not sound like a good idea to me). They seem to be plug and play. You just plug 'em in and they automatically adjust and correct as you ride? Is it that simple?

The racing is fully adjustable one which takes the controller of Launch C, AFR, Quick Shifter, traction control etc. With riding it keeps fine tunning and always adjust to different intake temperatures. What's good is that Akra has been recently working closely with Rapid bike.

Let us see if some has more info here.

I’ll be keeping up with this tread. Would be really interesting if this could take the place of the flash and PCV & AT set up. From the little reading I’ve done so far it looks like it’s a possibility.
Interesting to learn more.

Seems like most of the flashes remap only the throttle. This device remaps the fuel mixture (not sure about TB mapping) so might be complementary to a flash?

But it's more expensive than just a reflash. like 600 dollar just for the unit and complete wiring harness. Specific harness. The controller is extra and up down quick shifter is also extra. btw there is the cheaper one which auto programs only.

Thank you.

Thank you so much.

Is the carbon heat shield an Akrapovič part or a Yamaha part??

(I'm new to the Tenere)

Not an Akra nor Yamaha. it's a carbon sheild i found online. American made. Forgot the brand. But changes the look. Basically all short carbon sheilds are the same design. some have cut outs like the Yamaha.

Well it happenned today !
Engine braking solved.
Snatchy throttle solved.
it's pulling after 6 but not like the sweet range from 4-6k rpm.
It's an Auto tune module so needs at least 400km of riding to get the best map.

Still running stock headers but coming soon.
